Welcome! There will be a time of greeting and
announcements before we begin our Worship Service
We are happy that you have joined us for worship. Please let us know if we can help you in any way.
If you are visiting, please fill out one of the cards in the pews and place it in the offering plate. We hope
You find this a friendly place and will come back again. Please join us for Food and Fellowship in the
Memorial Room immediately following the worship service.
The back hallway leads to our Memorial Room, which is used as a “crying room” for children during
the worship service. It has a speaker system connected to the Sanctuary so you will be able to hear
the whole service there should you need to leave the Sanctuary with your child. Please be respectful and
turn off your cell phone so the ringing and conversation does not disturb others as they focus on
this time of Worship.

Gather in fellowship. Greet friends and fellow worshipers.
GREETING, WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS Pastor Gary Sissel
PRELUDE: Please have a moment of silent meditation. Kathryn Anderson
OPENING PRAYER: Almighty God, our father, dwelling in majesty and mystery, renewing and
fulfilling creation by your eternal Spirit, and revealing your glory through our Lord, Jesus Christ:
Cleansing us from doubt and fear, and enable us to worship you, with your Son and the Holy Spirit,
one God, living and reigning, now and forever. Amen.

SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION: What are your idols? What do you think about when you
have nothing to do? What makes you over the top angry? What makes you inconsolably depressed?
What do you spend way too much money on that is not a need?
ASSURANCE OF PARDON: Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we
considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds
we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord
has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53: 4-6 (NIV)
